In other news, the Trump administration proposed a new 25% tariff on Brazilian goods following an investigation which found the country engages in unfair trade practices. Elsewhere, the presence of the parasitic New World Screwworm was recently discovered 31 miles from the U.S. border, in a sheep in the state of Coahuila, Mexico. To keep NWS out of the country, the USDA has blocked cattle imports from Mexico since 2025, reported MEAT+POULTRY. Full Story
