The Indeed report argues that AI will deepen a skills and location mismatch between available workers and the jobs that are growing. Meanwhile, CAVA reported a 9.7% increase in Q1 same-store sales, outperforming several of its fast-casual competitors. The results come as higher-income restaurant spending remains stronger than lower-income traffic, reported Restaurant Dive. Full Story

And lastly, a Pizza Hut franchisee said AI caused $100M in damages. Franchisee Chaac Pizza Northeast has sued the franchisor, alleging the chain’s Dragontail AI system caused “cascading operational breakdowns,” slowed order times, and disrupted integrations with third-party delivery, reported Restaurant Dive.
