Plant-based meats are about to become much more mainstream – Christina Russo is convinced of it.
As alt-meats have found their way onto the menus of fast-food chains like Burger King, McDonald’s and KFC, plant-based products have be-come a larger part of the American conscious, noted Russo, the creative director of the Kitchen Community, a culinary digital hub.
“The next twelve months will see, I believe, a dramatic rise in the number of people choosing to eat soy-based burgers rather than the conventional meat-based variety,” Russo said.
