    Writer/Reporter

    Responsibilities:

    • Work under tight deadlines to report on trending topics within the food industry.
    • Work closely with editorial staff to write and produce daily and weekly newsletters.
    • Assist with company’s social media and multimedia efforts as needed.
    • Develop industry contacts.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree; journalism or related field of study preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, WordPress, Constant Contact, Adobe Indesign, Hootsuite, etc.
    • Experience pertaining to video, radio or podcasts a plus.
    • Taking initiatives. Extremely detail-orientated. Fast learner who can multitask.

    Market Research Analyst

    Responsibilities:

    • Gather, analyze, interpret food industry trends and information for monthly 1,800-word, 5-page whitepapers that note what’s happening in the food industry and why, adding relevant stats and data points
    • Work with senior management to envision ideal layout and presentation of industry whitepapers
    • Support senior management with other content creation periodically

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree; research or quantitative related field of study preferred
    • Strong data software applications skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel
    • Taking initiative. Detail-orientated. Fast learner who can multitask

    Video Producer

    Responsibilities:

    • Produce multiple short (1-5-minute) videos per week, on part-time or freelance basis.
    • Appear on-camera to deliver newscasts for online and social media.
    • Assist with company’s social media and multimedia efforts as needed.
    • Building FI’s brand via social media encouraged.
    • On rare occasions, attend industry events.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree; journalism, broadcast or related field of study preferred.
    • Proficient in video editing, various social media platforms, and Hootsuite.
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • On-camera experience a plus.
    • Podcast production a plus.
    • Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

    Database Management Assistant

    Responsibilities:

    • Build new email distribution lists targeting Food & Beverage verticals.
    • Help organize FI’s existing database management system.
    • Maintain FI’s database by entering new and updated account information.
    • Research and obtain further information for incomplete data.
    • Generate reports and store completed work in designated locations.
    • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
    • Address data inconsistencies by working with management to locate missing data.
    • Comply with data integrity and security policies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; additional computer training or certification will be an asset
    • Data entry experience or related office experience.
    • Knowledge of social media platforms.
    • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
    • Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to spot errors with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

    Responsibilities:

    • 2+ years of direct research or data analysis experience.

    Data Engineer

    Responsibilities:

    • Setup database management system.
    • Apply your coding skills to manage the influx of data and build flexible solutions for data acquisition.
    • Work with market data to detect anomalies, assess the quality of data, and figure out how to best present the information for clients to bringing value to our businesses.
    • Work closely with senior management to support content distribution, analytics, and content creation.

    Qualifications:

    • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant data technology field
    • 2+ years of direct work experience in software development, data engineering, data science or information technology
    • Proficiency in data modeling with SQL and NoSQL databases, API’s, Python programming, and related technical skills
    • Taking initiatives. Extremely detail-orientated. Fast learner who can multitask.
