The coronavirus outbreak has had a lasting impact on the global food industry, forcing companies to make difficult decisions about best practices and protocols. Food production plants have emerged as hotspots for the virus, and many have been forced to halt production. But how have regulators reacted to this pandemic?
This webinar with The Food Institute and OFW Law will take a look at the U.S. regulatory response to COVID-19, including policies and practices implemented by USDA, FDA, OSHA, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Transportation. Experts from OFW Law will delve into tactics from USDA’s FSIS and FDA regarding inspections, and FDA’s temporary policies on issues such as egg safety and nutrition labeling. Other topics discussed will include guidance and best practices for food and worker safety, and relief for producers.
